Today was our last day in Barcelona (for now). After breakfast, where we chatted with the nice couple from our first wine happy hour, we made our way to the car rental shop.
Before heading out of town, we decided to see a few more places. So we made our way to Castell de Montjuïc. Perfectly situated on top of a hill close to the port, this old fort provides a 360° view of Barcelona.
Making our way back down the hill we drove past the Olympic part towards the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and the Font Màgica de Montjuïc. Unfortunately the fountains were not running when we drove by.
It was now time to hit the road to Andorra. We made our way to the highway, quickly leaving the hectic city streets behind. Following along El Llobregat river we decided to visit the Abadia de Montserrat. Making our way up the mountain the weather quickly changed to rain with high winds. Thankfully the rain was short lived and we were able to enjoy Montserrat.
Dogs may not be allowed, but nothing was said about gatos.
From Montserrat, we made our way back down the mountain and continued north to Andorra.
By the time we reached our hotel in Andorra La Vella it was nighttime. Tired and hungry we dropped off our belongings and headed into town for some much needed food. Both of us had an odd craving for noodles, so udon it was. Surprisingly, Udon (the name of the restaurant) was very good and had great vegetarian options - including ramen. With our bellies full, it was time to saunter back to the hotel along with Valira River.
